November 2019:
Champion 4th Level Freestyle Amateur - Bryana Smith and Amaraska *Ps* (by Oliver Twist out of Amadelia by Lauries Crusader xx), finished up the show season in first place nationally at 4th Level Freestyle Amateur division with a 72.767% which also placed them 5th in the open division. Bry and Ammi also placed 10th at the Nationals even with a few errors.
Bryana Smith and Castellan *Pb* (by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Cassiopia by Happy Hour) placed 5th at the USDF Nationals in 3rd Level Freestyle - there were a few errors but Bry threw some extra tough lead changes in and the judges remarked on how “fantastic” he was.
Pr.St. Amaraska (ridden by Bryana Smith) earned her performance silver medal with the American Trakehner Association
April 2019: Castellan *Pb* (by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Cassiopia by Happy Hour), ridden by Bryana Smith, takes high point for the Venice Dressage shows on April 6/7 with a 76% on his 3rd level freestyle. He also scored a 66.625 for first place at 3rd level 3.
April 2019: Amaraska *Pb* (by Oliver Twist out of Amadelia by Lauries Crusader xx), also ridden by Bryana Smith, debuted at PSG at the Venice Dressage shows with 62.9% and a 66.1%. The pair also showed 4th level 3 winning their Sunday class with 70%.
April 2019: Centauri (by Tanzeln out of Cat Walk by Leonidas *Pg*E*) and ridden by Madeline Baker, also showed training level. For his second time out showing he did super - scoring 65.5% and 66% at Training Level 3.
March 2019: Pr.St. Amaraska and Castellan (ridden by Bryana Smith) have both earned their performance bronze medals with the American Trakehner Association and will now be known as Pr.St. Amaraska *Pb* and Castellan *Pb*.
January 2019: Cassel Rock Farm is pleased to announce the arrival of Madeline Baker as resident trainer. Maddie has years of experience and is already making significant progress with our young horses! She is available to take an additional 2 or 3 horses in training. Bio and contact info coming soon.
Froschprinz, April 1, 2018 colt by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Froschkuss by Leonidas *Pg* was champion foal at the American Trakehner Association inspection at Valhalla Farm in Oct of 2018, receiving a score of 25.1 (the highest score given to any foal in 2018 by the ATA)
Casi Cielo by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Cassiopia by Happy Hour was reserve champion mare at her inspection. Cece also participated in the clinic with Andrew Palmer training and riding.
Tanzeln *Ps* and Bryana Smith continue to improve their performance with Tanz bringing increasing power to his performance. At their most recent show in JAX Tanz was a rockstar and we scored a new personal best of 72.8% in the I1 Freestyle! We also scored a 67% and 66.47% in the I1 with two solid tests with a couple little mistakes but still bringing home a blue. I was super pleased with his consistency, quality and focus in the ring.
Ammi was also awesome and with help from Iris Eppinger, Sunshine Dressage, Bryana Smith and Ammi won both our 3-3 and 2-3 tests Sunday with a 67.3% and 68.659% respectively. We also earned Reserve second level high point on Saturday with a 66% and another qualifying score at 3rd level!
Fairmont, 2014 gelding by Arentino out of Franceska by Tanzeln *Ps* ridden by Anna Merritt at his very first show, earned a 65..65% for a 2nd place in his Training Level 1 class on Saturday and Sunday took first place, Training Level 1 with a 69.7% !!
Welcoming our recently imported Pr.St. Amaraska by Oliver Twist out of Pr.St. Amadelia by Lauries Crusader xx. We purchased Ammi as a 3 year old in Neumunster and left her with Janina Romkowski to ride and train. Nina and Ammi accomplished great things and it was time to begin her next adventure. She will be ridden in dressage by Bryana Smith.
2017 has been amazing for Tanzeln *Ps* and Bryana Smith. Coached by Iris Eppinger of Sundance Dressage, they qualified for regional I-1 Championships with scores up to 70.9 and I-1 Freestyle Championship with scores up to 72.75. They also qualified for I1 Freestyle National Championships and placed 5th. This pair just keeps getting better!
Tanz and Bry are currently training for Grand Prix with hopes to make it by mid next year.

At the American Trakehner Association inspection at Valhalla Farm:
Cabela by Hailo *Pg*E* out of Center Swing xx completed her performance test and will now be known as Cabela *P*. Ridden by Tami Kes
Aliea by Prince of Prussia out of Adriana by Advocate *Ps*E* was approved with a score of 55 and received the Reserve Champion Mare of the inspection.
Freia by Tatendrang *Pb* out of Franceska by Tanzeln *Ps* was approved with a score of 55 (a 9 for her canter) and received the Champion Mare of the inspection award.
Dejavu by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Holme Park Devaux received a premium foal designation.
Cat Dance by Tanzeln out of Cat Walk by Leonidas *Pg*E* started eventing with Andrew in January, winning her second time out at Novice and finishing 4th in the Area 3 Novice championships.
Castellan by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Cassiopia by Happy Hour, trained and ridden by Andrew Palmer of Royal Palm Farm, competed at Novice eventing - running 6 times, taking 3 first places, a 2nd and a 4th and finishing the season by winning the Area 3 eventing Novice championship and American Trakehner Association Novice Eventing Champion.
He finished 4th on the USEA national Novice Leaderboard and earned his blue ribbon and gold medal with his great scores and clear xc runs.
Last but definitely not least - Janina Romkowski and Amaraska were invited to participate in the German Trakehner Verband eventing/jumping clinic.
From there they went on to place 2nd with a 8.0 in their first CR style A**. The pair continued to place 3rd in the A** Event in Westerstede, finishing on their 7,8 dressage result. No faults in Show Jumping and CR. Even the muddy ground could not stop her.
10-10-2015: Team Tanz and Sunshine Dressage had a fun weekend at the Conyers regional championship! With Iris's help, Tanz and Bryana placed first and second in their I1 classes, with the 2nd place test ridden in a torrential downpour. They also had a good PSG ride. It was a great, fun show - largest regionals in the US.
9-6-2015: Bry and Tanz debuted at Intermediaire 1 at the Jacksonville RideLite dressage show on September 5 & 6. Saturday they received 61.184 and 2nd place, Sunday, a 66.184% i and FEI reserve champion for the weekend!
8-10-2015: Team Tanz had a very successful weekend at the Canterbury Summer Sizzler! Bryana and Tanz earned a 71% and a 67.9% in their musical freestyle, walking away with the AA/JRYR freestyle Grand Champion award! They also earned a 63+% to win their large PSG class, and were the AA/JRYR FEI Reserve Grand Champions! Without the hard work and dedication of Iris Eppinger, these scores wouldn't have been possible. Thank you to everyone who came out to support Bryana and Tanz!
7-5-2015: Cassel Rock Trakehner's Amaraska wins Ostfriesland Regional Championships in Cross Country! Janina Romkows (rider/trainer) followed the regionals up and was part of the Gold-Winning team at the Nationals, 5th overall. Great finish to a wonderful season for Nina and Ammi!!!
6-6-2015: Tanzeln *Ps* and Bryana Smith got a 69% and a 67% on their 4th level freestyles, and two 63%'s in the PSG. They also brought home Junior high point for the show!
5-10-2015: Kiera, 2005 dark bay mare by Tanzeln *Ps*, out of Korinna by Memeltanz. Bred by John and Kari Cassel, owned and ridden by Cheryl Youngman, Florida showed Fourth Level Test 1 at the May Day Qualifier in Florida on 5/10, placing 1st with 65.811%. Cheryl and Kiki also placed 2nd with a 61.282% at Third Level Test 3 on May 9.
3-29-2015: Tanzeln, ridden by Bry Smith and coached by Iris Eppinger, had a very successful outing over the 3/28 & 3/29 weekend, getting 2 PSG qualifying scores over 62 and getting the last score needed for the American Trakehner Association Performance Silver *Ps* award. Tanzeln's name is now officially Tanzeln *Ps*! The pair also got great scores at their first ever 4th level freestyle with Bry putting together some fun music from Game of Thrones. Tanz clearly likes it and "tried his heart out" for Bry! Congratulations!!!
3-21-2015: Helena (registered as Madalena) by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Mixta by Erzsand *E*, had a great outing at South East Horseshows February 28-Mar 1 in Newbury, FL. Helena, bred by Connie West, owned by Conie Coultrap and ridden by Eline Eckroth WON First Level, Test 1 on a score of 68.9, also WON First Level, Test 2 on a 72.3 and placed 5th at First, 3 on a 67.9.

2) Reserve Champion, Pre-Green Hunter: CADET (Reg. Name LINUS), ORB-B-S1204, by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Lady Seven. Bred by Molly Conway, owned by Marta Mazess and ridden by Laura Morman.
11-2-2014: Benton of Tartan Farm, 2008 gelding by Tanzeln *Ps* out of Blaire of Tartan Farm by Hailo *Pg*E*finished the year as champion in USDF All Breeds for the American Trakehner Association at Second Level and 47th in overall USDF standings with a 68.214%. He's also had a great show season, with scores at Second Level up to 71+%. Congratulations to his owner/breeder Karen Smith, Tartan Farm and his riders Katie Stoy and James Koford!
10-26-2014:Tanzeln *Pb* with Janina Romkowski riding and Iris Eppinger coaching continued his Prix St Georges success with 1st and 2nd place finishes with a 65.658% and a 64.342% respectively at the Canterbury Showplace Spooktacular Show in Newberry, Fl on 10/25 & 261.
10-26-2014: Flannigan, 2007 gelding by Tanzeln *Pb* out of Fire Angel by Emeer took the blue and the high point trakehner ribbon at his 2nd level debut at the Canterbury Showplace in Newberry, Fl. Ridden by Janina Romkowski, Flannigan scored 70% for the blue on 10/25 and 66.571% for a 2nd place on 10/26.
10-26-2014: Cabela, 2009 mare by Hailo *Pg*E** out of Center Swing xx by Dance Centre xx continued her 1st level success with two 1st place finishes with a 68.065% and a 63.871% at the Canterbury Showplace Spooktacular Show in Newberry, Fl on 10/25 & 261. Ridden by Nina Romkowski and coached by Iris Eppinger.
9-16-2014: Tanzeln *Pb* with Janina Romkowski riding and Iris Eppinger coaching, added to their PSG scores at the Wellington Dressage Challenge and Championship on 9/16-19 with an amazing number of horses competing - scoring as high as 64.432% for a 4th place finish and 60.132% in the championship for a 9th place - only 4% behind the winning ride.
9-7-2014: Cabela, 2009 mare by Hailo *Pg*E** out of Center Swing xx by Dance Centre xx debuted at 1st level with good scores (up to 65%) at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center Fl on 9/ & 8/31. Ridden by Nina Romkowski, Cabela scored 63.387% to 68.158%. This mare is so talented - look for her to move up quickly in scores and levels.
8-31-2014: Kiera, 2005 mare by Tanzeln *Pb* out of Korinna by Memelruf debuted at 3rd level with 3 first places at the Canterbury Showplace in Newberry, Fl on 8/30 & 8/31. Ridden by Janina Meyer Kiera scored 63.387% to 68.158%
8-31-2014: Flannigan, 2007 gelding by Tanzeln *Pb* out of Fire Angel by Emeer took home 3 blues at 1st level at the Canterbury Showplace in Newberry, Fl on 8/30 & 8/31. Ridden by Bryana Smith, Flannigan scored between 67.258 and 73.387% and finished as high point Trakehner and high point Junior rider
11-2-2013: Benton of Tartan Farm, 2008 gelding by Tanzeln *Pb* out of Blaire of Tartan Farm by Hailo *Pg*E*finished the year 1st in USDF All Breeds for the American Trakehner Association at First Level and 27th overall. He's also had a great show season, with scores at First Level up to 80.645%. He finished 2nd with a score of 62.024% in his first Second Level test at the championships in October. Congratulations to his owner/breeder Karen Smith, Tartan Farm and his rider Katie Stoy!

10-15-2012: Tanzeln is now Tanzeln *Pb*. With Iris Eppinger from Valhalla Farm training and riding, Tanz earned his Performance Bronze medal from the ATA! He is now training PSG and Iris will be working on his Silver.
10-20-2012: Pr.St. Amaraska, 2009 premium state champion mare by Oliver Twist out of Amadelia by Lauries Crusader xx was purchased at the Trakehner Verband auction. She will stay in Germany and be ridden by Janina Romkowski of Leers, Germany.
05-13-2012: Tanzeln, ridden by Iris Eppinger, was Third Level Champion at Canterbury May Days Qualifier. Iris and Tanz got progressively better throughout their first show together, culminating with a score of 73.3% at Third Level Test 3 with the judge commenting on the "lovely horse" and rewarding the harmony between the horse and rider with high marks.
05-13-2012: Kiera (by Tanzeln) and rider (Lupe Guardaras) continue their blue ribbon quest at Canterbury May Days Qualifier with wins at First-Level 3 and at Second Level 3 with a qualifying score of 65.3
02-25-2012: Kiera (by Tanzeln) and rider (Lupe Guardaras) win at First-Level 3 with a qualifying score of 68.378 and at Second Level 1 with a 64%+ at their first show together. They also came in 3rd on Sunday at First-Level 3 with 64.455%.
Erin Root has joined us for the winter season and is currently training multiple horses. Alaina (4 yrs old this year) has turned out to be extremely talented for both jumping and dressage. Look for her in the show ring later this season.
Flannigan (2007 16.3 1/2h gelding by Tanzeln out of Fire Angel by Emeer), ridden by Erin Root is now showing at both training level dressage (with scores in the high 60's) and at eventing! He won his first beginner novice rated CT and his first novice CT schooling show on his dressage score as a 4 year old.
Kiera, ridden by Kendra Menzies, won the 2009 Region 9 open training level GAIG Regional Championship with a score of 69.2%. The pair then took reserve champion at the Southwestern Dressage Championship with a 69%. Kiera also finished Champion Trakehner and 5th in the nation for USDF Materiale 4-5 year old mares with a 79.9%. Kiera was also 4th in the Trakehner open training level line-up.
